I am the Tutoring Director for FreshWise Tutors in the Hampton Roads area, providing services in Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach. I have a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Education, which provides me the background to understand the academic needs of children. With 17 years of experience in education, I have learned how to tailor my formal education to provide the best help to excelling and struggling students. Through proper diagnosis of a child’s needs, adjusting our programs to a student’s learning style, and good communication with parents, I can provide the best learning gains.
During the past 3 years, I have directed tutoring programs in the area to help more than 1000 students in Math and Reading. It is very gratifying to reflect on how this commitment can change the lives of students. We have a large team of excellent tutors with great qualifications who are dedicated to helping our students.
I understand the educational challenges facing families today, as I am the mother of three children; one is in the USAF, and the other two are now in college. It is paramount to get a good stand in school, develop good study habits at an early age, and continue to develop those skills until college. Education changes your life.
